Had a lovely time with a cozy small double room and a tasty breakfast that hit the spot! Enjoyed relaxing on the sun terrace and taking in the garden views. Just a heads-up, the bed was a bit firmer than we like, but it didn’t take away from our stay! 😊

Ideal for family getaway
The food was really impressive. I had a Sunday roast with beef, perfectly cooked and tasty, everything hot and crisp. Everyone left satisfied and very full! And the atmosphere was cozy with a barman in a traditional apron, felt like we were in a good ol' pub.
It wasn't exactly pocket change, but for what you get, it’s absolutely acceptable.

I stayed at The Jug in Heswall for a night and had a great time. The staff were super friendly and made me feel at home. The breakfast was a highlight, freshly cooked and plentiful, excellent coffee included. The room was bright, clean, and really comfortable. I enjoyed the cozy atmosphere of the pub while winding down in the evening. Unfortunately, the parking situation was quite limited, making it a bit stressful to find a spot. The noise from the bar could be heard in my room, which was slightly annoying on a busy night. I really liked my stay and would recommend it for those looking for a good pub vibe with comfy accommodations.

Delicious food and great vibes!
Had an awesome time here! The food was just to die for—big portions and super tasty. Loved the relaxed bar atmosphere, really chilled. The only thing was, a mini ironing board in the room would’ve been useful. But honestly, the vibes and service were top-notch. Totally a place to visit!

Clean, cozy Double Room with charming decor blending rustic wood and warm tones. A great breakfast featuring quality ingredients sets you up for the day ahead.
The room gets quite hot from the afternoon sun with no air conditioning, making it uncomfortable at peak temperatures. Noise from the bar's speaker system travels into the room, especially bass vibrations, which might keep light sleepers awake. The bathroom feels cramped, particularly the shower cubicle, which could be inconvenient for taller guests.

The breakfast spread was a proper feast, with fresh coffee that could wake the dead and mouthwatering options that had me coming back for seconds. Plus, the vibe in the pub made for a cracking atmosphere! The staff were fab too—super attentive and charming!
But let's be real, the mains felt a tad steep for what you got, and my dinner was a bit of a letdown. Heating in the room went a bit too low for comfort, and hauling luggage through a bustling bar was a wet sock experience when it was pouring outside.

Had a fantastic time with my friends. We visited a marine and freshwater aquarium and the Chester race course, which added to our trip. The family room was comfy, and the breakfast was excellent with fresh coffee. The staff were super friendly and made our stay enjoyable.
The only downside was the limited parking, as we noticed many non-patrons using the carpark.

the room was a bit hot at night since there was no aircon. also, it got noisy with the open window because of the pub downstairs.
